All About Emotions

This week, we focused on understanding and expressing emotions. Through storytelling, role-playing, and drawing, children learned to recognize and communicate their feelings. They also created an “Emotion Board,” where they placed their picture under a mood label each day. This activity encouraged self-awareness and empathy, helping us create a positive and supportive environment.

Celebrating Fall

Autumn was in full swing this week, and we celebrated with seasonal crafts and sensory activities. The children created colorful leaf rubbings, made handprint turkeys, and even explored “sensory bins” filled with dried leaves, pinecones, and pumpkin seeds. This hands-on approach to fall gave everyone a better understanding of the season’s unique sights, sounds, and […]

Learning About Numbers

We began our journey into numbers with counting games, number songs, and hands-on activities. Our math corner featured counting games and puzzles that allowed children to explore numbers through play. They also practiced counting using objects like buttons, blocks, and beads. By the end of the week, everyone was excited to show off their new […]

Practicing with Zuzia

This week, we welcomed Zuzia, a wonderful student on her teaching practice. The children loved having her with us, and she brought fantastic energy to the group! Zuzia led music and movement sessions, where everyone danced, sang, and played instruments. We also enjoyed a “Sound Safari” around the classroom, helping children identify different sounds and […]

Storytime Adventures

Books opened up new worlds for us this week. Each day, we shared a classic children’s story, then discussed the characters, settings, and morals. Inspired by “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” we created a life-size caterpillar collage, and for “Where the Wild Things Are,” we made our own “Wild Thing” masks. Storytime was interactive, engaging, and […]

Nature and the Outdoors

As autumn slowly approaches, we spent time outside exploring the changing leaves and talking about the seasons. The children loved going on a nature walk where they collected leaves, acorns, and pinecones. Back in the classroom, we used these treasures to create autumnal crafts. The children also planted seeds, learning about how plants grow, which […]

Exploring Colors and Shapes

This week, we dove into the vibrant world of colors and shapes! Children painted with watercolors, sorted colorful blocks, and went on a “Shape Hunt” around the classroom. We created a beautiful mural together using all our favorite colors, which now hangs proudly in our hallway. It was a great way to introduce basic concepts […]

Getting to Know Each Other

Our first week back at Fun Little Education was all about reconnecting and making new friends! We started with ice-breaker games where each child shared something special about themselves. Our “Friendship Circle” activity helped everyone feel comfortable and excited to learn together. We also introduced the children to their classrooms and play areas, with a […]

Halloween Party Fun!

We ended October with a spook-tacular Halloween party! Children came dressed as their favorite characters—superheroes, animals, witches, and even pumpkins filled the room. We played classic Halloween games like “Pin the Hat on the Witch,” had a costume parade, and enjoyed spooky treats prepared by our talented team. The children loved trick-or-treating around the classroom, […]
